Dino releases F-14D v0.95 / Sim-Outhouse Hacked.

Dino Cattaneo has released v0.95 of his F-14 Tomcat.

Dino states that he will not have much time to work on it in this days, nor thinks he will have time anytime soon... But did get rid of some of the most annoying issues (namely the a/b bleed and the misplacement of the formation lights).

He has also did some adjustments to the nose and canopy geometry, while missiles have been redone from scratch.



I guess some users have there complaints of the model. I for one love the model and I say to those critics who bitch and complain about the small stuff... if you think you can do a better job than what Dino has done (which I doubt you can) keep your mouth shut and enjoy what he has created for us or make an F-14 yourself. You are lucky its free. I think he understands that there is still stuff wrong with the model and like he has said before he will get to it when hes ready and has the time. The man has a life too you know. So instead of rivet counting.... go fly! Its what its all about anyway.

Changes from previous release as follows:

*Fixed formation lights
*A/B effect coding redone (effect bleeding through fuselage when a/b is off should have been fixed)
*Fixed non working pitot heat switch
*Cleaned several cockpit texture glitches and added shadows (courtesy of Brandon Templeton)
*Reworked nose and canopy geometry
*Redone AIM-7 and AIM-9 models-Fixed minor glitches in the cockpit geometry
*Minor tweaks to the flight model (reduced maneuverability)
*Closed minor openings in the cockpit model (scenery bleed through geometry)
*Removed smoke effect call (smoke effect presence was a mistake - this was left there from an early F-14A build, but afaik GE engines do not produce so much smoke. I had removed the effect on my system but the entry was still there...)
*Fixed wing sweep indicator behaviour (but will not yet detect oversweep)
*Fixed flap lever animation (reversed)

In the mist of all the flight sim community websites being hacked yet another has fallen victim to the low lives. Sim-Outhouse was hacked and looks like the only damage done here was that the hacker was able to steal peoples passwords. SO if you log into sim-outhouse please change your password.
