What a Weekend

I hope all of you had a great weekend. My weekend was quite eventful after my computer took a dump I had the absolute pleasure of getting to reinstall the whole operating system and start over from scratch. Good thing about a clean slate now is that everything runs excellent.

Im trying to collect my thoughts here as a storm is brewing outside the house. Ah, got to love the storms out here in the Mid-West. Over the weekend on Saturday we had a rogue storm just pop out from no where and within 3 minutes the weather alert went from severe thunderstorm watch, to severe thunderstorm warning, to a tornado on the ground. Im from WV originally so Ive never been exposed to weather so unpredictible, it just dont happen there......and there goes my power =) Good thing Im on the laptop typing this. If it continues to deteriorate I may have to log off. Hopefully it will hold off a few minutes longer.

Good news for all you Naval Aviation fanatics like myself, I was just taking a look at Dino Catteneos blog and I see he has updated his T-45C Goshawk and it should be availible sometime today. Also he states that with just a few tweaks a few minor adjustments his F-14 should be availible to the public before this coming weekend. HAPPY TIMES!!!! Also Dino reported that Javier Fernandez has released his Nimitz carriers for FSX. If I read correctly they are just AI but I could be wrong. Anyway for an AI ship it looks awesome and Im sure someone will make it drivable for multiplayer if its not already. It also comes in different variations such as launch, recovery and "man at rails".

Project Opensky releases their P-8C Poseidon which is a variant of the Boeing 737 that is going to be replacing the US Navys aging Turbo Prop driven P-3C Orion. Not sure if it has a virtual cockpit....never did understand Project Openskys philosophy about not putting the whole aircraft together, they make you do it yourself which is a big pain and hassle. I think if they would start releasing whole aircraft instead of pieces they would have a much larger fan base. But thats just my opinion.

more to come after the storms rumble through. Hey! Try to have a good Monday! =)
